MILLOIN: 6.10. klo 17-20
Torstien haalarikaste on kylmää kyytiä, kirjaimellisesti!
Ansaitakseen kunnioitetun Forstin tittelin, metsätieteiden opiskelijoiden on todistettava karaistuneisuutensa hyppäämällä tukkia pitkin raikkaaseen ja rakkaaseen Pielisjokeen tukkijätkäkulttuuria kunnioittaen. Perinteisesti kaste suoritetaan fuksivappuna, mutta koronan vuoksi kastautumista on jouduttu siirtämään. Tänä syksynä kastetaan kerralla kaksi kurssia! Vuosikurssien K-38 ja K-39 opiskelijat saavat tilaisuuden näyttää parhaat uimahyppytaitonsa sekä taidokkaimmat tasapainottelunsa Ilosaaren laguunissa!
Tapahtuma alkaa kello 17:00 ja päättyy kunnes viimeinenkin Torsti on käynyt pulahtamassa.

Forestry students have cold celebration coming! Students have been jumping to the river almost from the start of our university. This is big tradition and lot of students are celebrating and enjoying the “May Day” already 30.4. The first year students of forestry can’t use their overalls before they jump to the river. As an exception this autumn the second and third year students will jump to the river.
This autumn it’s Course 38 and 39 jumping to the river. We encourage you to come and see our tradition! Event is free and it’s a great chance to get to know forestry people!
