Consequences of Misconduct:

In reported harassment cases, the incident is first addressed with the involved parties. If the party or parties wish to carry the matter to the board, the report is presented anonymously to the board, and potential sanctions are decided by the board. The name of the sanctioned individual is shared with the Advocacy Officer, Event Coordinators, and Chairperson to enforce event bans.

Sanctions are determined on a case-by-case basis. The minimum sanction is a warning, and the maximum is a ban from events for a specific period. In extreme cases, expulsion from the association is possible. If the involved party or parties are board members, the above principles apply, but the implicated board member(s) will not participate in handling the case. The maximum sanctions remain the same, but dismissal from the board is also possible.
