Yksi vapun hauskimmista ja taatusti hyyt\u00e4vin tapahtuma on totta kai j\u00e4lleen ke 30.5.2025 -> j\u00e4rjestett\u00e4v\u00e4 Forstikaste! Forstikasteessa mets\u00e4tieteiden ensimm\u00e4isen opintovuoden opiskelijat eli Torstit k\u00e4velev\u00e4t vedess\u00e4 kelluvaa tukkia pitkin mit\u00e4 mielikuvituksellisimmissa asuissa Ilosaaren j\u00e4iseen laguuniin ansaiten himoitun Forstin tittelin. Luvassa niin monta erilaista molskahdusta kuin on kastettaviakin ja hillitt\u00f6mi\u00e4 reaktioita juuri j\u00e4ist\u00e4 vapautuneen laguunin ensipuraisun iskiess\u00e4 heid\u00e4n kasvoillensa.<\/p>
Er\u00e4st\u00e4 Joensuun vapun pitk\u00e4perinteisimmist\u00e4 tapahtumista ovat tervetulleita katsomaan KAIKKI, opiskelijoiden lis\u00e4ksi muutkin hilpe\u00e4st\u00e4 vappuviihteest\u00e4 nauttivat!<\/p>
Kasteen j\u00e4lkeen tuoreet forstit palkitaan diplomein ja he saavat vet\u00e4\u00e4 ensimm\u00e4ist\u00e4 kertaa mets\u00e4nvihre\u00e4t haalarit jalkaansa. Joensuun mets\u00e4ylioppilaiden j\u00e4senet ovat kasteen j\u00e4lkeen tervetulleita l\u00e4mmittelem\u00e4\u00e4n saunailtaan Suvaksella!<\/p>

IN ENGLISH:<\/strong><\/p> One of the funniest and for sure the chilliest event of vappu is of course the Forsti Baptism arranged once again on Wed 30th of April. In Forsti Baptism the first year forestry students or Torstis walk along a trunk floating in the water to icy lagoon of Ilosaari and receive the title of Forsti. You can expect as many different splashes as there are the ones baptized and hilarious reactions as they feel the first bite of the lagoon just melted from ice.<\/p> Everyone\u2019s welcome to watch one of the longest vappu traditions in Joensuu! So on top of students, everyone else who enjoys fun entertainment in the spirit of Vappu.<\/p> After the baptism the fresh Forstis are awarded with diplomas and they get to put on the forest green overalls for the very first time.
